Hey Dex

I'm not the first owner of the car, but the whole body kit has been put on by a previous owner, so I'm not sure where the bumpers from.

Cheers

John

Hi John and welcome.
There is a gold XF with a similar body kit and rims up my end of town. I'll grab a photo next time I see it.

I also bought 5 7x15's Globe rims, but I need to get new tyres for all of them.

Here is a teaser photo of the xf with the rims on. Sorry for the terrible photos, as there isn't much room in the shed, due to parts being everywhere ;)

From seeing this photo, I've decided that I'm going to have to lower my car eventually, when I've saved up enough

Got an angle grinder? Cheap job if you do...

as long as you don't mind bouncing around on bumpstops due to the softer spring rate and crap handling..
save up and get some (even used) king springs.. or pedders if you want a slightly softer ride

Only problem with this, is that I'm nof sure if I'd even trust myself to cut them evenly... However the thought did cross my mind, as I have a spare set of springs on my parts car...

Cut springs are a nightmare... Trust us on that. Spring rate actually increases due to less coils but not in a linear way. Works your shocks hard and will bounce everywhere.

Oh and it's illegal too.

I highly rate the pedders I have in mine, your right, they give a very smooth ride.

Welcome mate!

Definitely needs to come down to earth a bit.

I've got two XFs, both lowered, one on Kings on one Pedders - IMO Kings give better handling being a little stiffer, Pedders much more comfortable ride - and lowering will improve the handling regardless.
