88 XF ute issues

ok so turns out it was the red wire with the green stripe and the black plug that had come of the male spade connector on the carby and was just sitting on the end of the spade so i pushed it on properly and away it went. thanks for the suggestions

yeah won't idle with that switch not connected(or broken) it cuts fuel of in the carby when you turn the key off to prevent the engine run on(or dieseling if you prefer) its only on the idle circuit, you can remove the solenoid thing, cut the end off i think if you ever break the connector (i have in the past)
