Mr Polson 10,214 Posted August 16, 2016 So I have a Ghia premium sound system I want to install in my wagon. However, I'd like to keep a second stereo in it - for bluetooth, USB, aux, CD etc etc. Mounting it shouldn't be an issue - I'm thinking at the front of the centre console, in the slotted area. What I'm curious abut is how you would wire it up? I believe the premo sound needs constant power for memory, as do modern stereos. But need to be able to switch between the two - or would i only need to switch which unit the speakers are getting power from? So, any ideas/suggestions? hendrixhc 10,918 Posted August 16, 2016 Why dont you use an FM modulator to feed the signal from your blue tooth, ipad or what ever to your premium stereo. 1 SirkWhyXF reacted to this
Mr Polson 10,214 Posted August 16, 2016 As in those FM tuners you can get where you hook it up to your bluetooth then set a FM frequency on it, tune your radio to that frequency and listen to your music?
hendrixhc 10,918 Posted August 16, 2016 Yeah, i used one for a while in a work car. it was quite good but a cheapy about 15 years ago. I would hop technology would see them perform even better now.
SirkWhyXF 1,533 Posted August 16, 2016 i've got one those fm tuners, its only a cheapy and would have to be somewhere between 5 -10 years old and it works well.

Mr Polson 10,214 Posted August 17, 2016 I've used one before, but they don't allow for bluetooth calling, and I'd rather use a USB for my music.
2redrovers 21,372 Posted August 17, 2016 The one she ordered is a Bluetooth unit. Will eventually find out if it works or not, think she said it answers calls automatically. Not sure if I like the sound of that bit.
