Lott 35 Posted May 3, 2016 Has anyone used composite leaf springs on there xd falcon. Just thought it would be a good idea. Cant find out much about them through the Internet.
gerg 10,871 Posted May 3, 2016 Some models of Camaro/Firebird came with them. I don't think they were too successful and i've never seen or heard of any aftermarket ones since.
CHESTNUTXE 7,299 Posted May 4, 2016 yeah kevin bartlett said they held up to the job and saved a heap of weight, but he wasnt convinced at first.
gerg 10,871 Posted May 4, 2016 That was the idea I think, but Camaros and Firebirds were the only ones to use them until coils came along for gen-3s. There are new ones available for them but not sure about other models. Plus points look promising, like 1/4 of the weight of steel packs, wheel hop is minimal, no sag (apparently). Might be worth investigating.

slydog 7,873 Posted May 6, 2016 So your wanting to drag race this thing then? Just ditch say 2-3 springs, sort your pinion angle by chocks and fit some Calvert traction bars and shocks. Then go stand it up... 2 XTREME KARTS XF and judgetread reacted to this
Lott 35 Posted May 8, 2016 Nice idea sly dog, but I need new springs as I broke a main leaf last weekend. Going flex form. See how it goes. It's not a drag car. I have another one for that. 2 XTREME KARTS XF and Thom reacted to this

Defective 1,692 Posted October 11, 2016 $625 is a very interesting price, lowered kings are about the same price aren't they? Â Il be following their progress with interest.
gerg 10,871 Posted October 11, 2016 That's a massive difference in unsprung weight. Put in an alloy 9" case and that would be a nice riding axle.
