xwroo 348 Posted November 9, 2015 If I get a wheel that's got a 5" backspace and if I put a .25" wheel spacer on will that make it a '5.25' backspace?
Stu5766 394 Posted November 9, 2015 Unless I am interpreting it the wrong way, the back space would become 4.75". You are bring the wheel out, so it won't sit as far back under the arch. The back space I believe is measured from the rear of the wheel hub center & by adding a spacer, you are decreasing the space between the center & the outer edge. Also be careful of spacers. Massively illegal & can implicate your insurance. Sorry for the long winded reply. 1 xwroo reacted to this
Menice 331 Posted November 9, 2015 as stu5766 said it will bring it too 4.75, spacers are ok as long as you have long enough studs but i still don't like them personally

NZXD 2,328 Posted November 10, 2015 I have the shims on the rear of mine but also got some morso (I think) new studs rated at a kabillion strong things. The shims are 6mm and studs are 3 inch. 1 gerg reacted to this
