XE ESP Headlight lenses need polishing

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Ive made up a decent set of ESP headlights using 2 sets, but Ive found the mirror lenses in the lights have become tarnished and no longer have that mirror finish to give a good light.

Does anyone know how to polish them, or how I can go about restoring them to new?

Cheers

i dont think they can be polished. but they can be rechromed(re metalised)

i had some XF ones done a few years back, they are still A1 apparently(i sold them due to getting rid of XFs)
there is a link here on xfalcon with pics, someone i think has copied the details to this site if you can find it

or you could just contact Gary at http://www.zeusproducts.com.au/metalllisingobjects.html

they can chrome just about anything.
some pics of My results if you cant see them on xfalcon..

If you try an repolish them the coating will disappear before your eyes.

You can go the way Dean shows or another option is to buy some after market standard XE lights and swap the reflectors over.

Thats what i did with mine.

Found out Zeusproducts no longer does small jobs like reflector repolish.

Went and seen the guy who does my chroming and he was going to rechrome them.

Problem solved.

Funnily enough they were the only parts that i couldnt get anyone to rechrome, cause of the process require to do it.

If you can get them done Terry successfully Terry, throw up some details, i'd be interested.

bugger, XF ones are plastic so thats about the only option.

pretty sure the XE ones are metal, so the normal process might be fine...

be good to see though
