xander57 2 Posted March 10, 2015 Got a 94 ef futura previous owner put a 95 xr6 engine in but didn't change ecu. Can I put the xr6 ecu in with no problems??
SLO247 1,713 Posted March 10, 2015 As long as its an EF XR6 one and to suit your trans (auto/manual) then yes, straight in. You won't notice a difference though. 1 steve mcqueen reacted to this
xander57 2 Posted March 10, 2015 Isn't it different to the standard ecu?
Campo 869 Posted March 10, 2015 Ecu is the same as far as i know.
SLO247 1,713 Posted March 10, 2015 Slightly different tune and no speed limiter I reckon. Catch code will be different and part number will be a 94DT rather than 94DA to signify the Tickford shizzle. Waste of money though honestly, you won't notice a difference. Done it all before. 2 steve mcqueen and Outback Jack reacted to this
Campo 869 Posted March 10, 2015 Be better of getting a pretuned j3 or a blank j3 and getting it tuned by someone
Falcman007 100 Posted March 17, 2015 Why can't I paste? Anyway... Goto ebay "BPR J3 Ford Performance chip Tickford" Few J3's there mate
Menice 331 Posted March 18, 2015 I find the T.I. PERFORMANCE j3's really good and Jason can get a mail order tune pretty close to what you need if you have any mods or upgrades 3 Falcman007, Thom and Outback Jack reacted to this

broken-wheel 659 Posted April 30, 2015 actually I did this to a Futura, shaped from auto to manual and Tickford head it does go into limp home mode often and retards timing so get a manual ECU, the resistor trick did not work for me
