XF intank fuel pump upgrade

Hi all, 

 

Just chasing some info on a replacement/upgrade fuel pump for my XF that will fit in the tank, does anyone have any suggestions? From what I've researched, the walbro 255 should fit, can anyone confirm?

The EFI pump is pretty big compared to a AU/BA pump so it should be able to fit.... there is enough room I would think

My brother's Supra got a similar upgrade recently and the Walbro was slightly smaller than the stock (Denso i think) pump and needed a bit of packing out. Denso often use licence-built Bosch stuff so although I've never done your exact swap, this might be a bit of a guide.

are you sure it needs upgrading? i used an XF EFi tank and pump with My lexus V8 and had it tested on a dyno at full noise to test that and a few other things.. kept up no issue and the lexus drinks fuel on full throttle for 4.0 litres also.

My dyno guy said it may be an issue, just researching it in case i need to go buy one. Thanks guys

just to confirm, does the standard pump work fine at 160rwkw on a 4litre? think i remember it being fine from your thread(this could help others)

All the pumps when you take it out you can modify a fuel pump to fit in there. Lucky for you they are much easier to modify. On my AU I had to cut the pump housing to fit the walbro 255.
