xfish 20 Posted December 23, 2014 Hey guys, I have the 98 ELXR8 ( which already has the explorer manifold ) , but it still has the restricting EL throttle body. Since it's hard to compare from photo's over the internet, but will a AU3 XR8 throttle body be a direct replacement over what I have now.....or will I have a plug, size issue any where? Trev Vaa 1,185 Posted December 23, 2014 size isnt an issue, but gain is minimal, and the idle will be a little unstable at times. really not worth it tbh, unless you have it sitting around. mine came with a larger throttle body on it, was off a TS though.
