Hey guys,

Sorry for the delay to the thread.

Anyone know what colour for a “CZ” is for an 86 Falcon XF?
Any help would be great.
All my searching has got me no closer.

Hi guys,

Generally speaking, it is a light, light sky blue.
(Like a mix of white and light blue).
Nothing on it is marked as anniversary, but I’m new to xf falcons, so could be corrected on what to look for.

Not the best photo, as it now looks whiter

Thanks for your input.

If I call ford could they tell me what the mix is? I need to “touch up” a few places.

It is the actual colour. Everywhere I’ve poked around is the same colour, just less scratches. And the I.D. plate specifies the “CZ” which I can’t find a definition of.

Was there ever Police utes that were a light blue (almost white) colour?

Thanks again you Wizards!

i think My google kung fu is strong. ..

terms i probably used were "Ford paint code CZ"

there's a reason i used ford and not falcon. back 25yrs ago i wanted a burnt orange ford colour of the XE ESP..(now i know it's called Chestnut) i knew i'd heard of the colour burnt orange, and the paint shop had it as a FORD LASER colour. after looking at the paint swatch, i chose French Blue..
(reason i wanted the Chestnut colour is because the car was a gold colour and i thought i could just blow over the door jams etc without going to much effort.. but the blue i ended up doing semi properly.. taught Me a good lesson..  don't change the colour of the car lol

Some more googling, and I recon this might be close, http://www.ozfalcon.com.au/index.php?/topic/1877-1989-xf-falcon-ute/

I’ve messaged the poster, but if anyone could identify that paint, I’m happy to try yet another pressure pack can, emoji125.pngemoji3603.png

Thanks.

bugger, the wrong one might me a good base coat though.
have you tried ringing 13ford ?
some paint shops(not autobarn etc) had paint swatch booklets that may have it in there?

No drama about extra paint, I am sure I can find something a spray.
I rang 13ford, the vehicle was a “commercial order”.
(No “option 36” in the I.D. plate)
Would it be a D4 HORIZON BLUE EJA ?

The only way to tell for certain, is to call 13FORD,

or email Ford customer service, and get a copy of the Ford build/options sheet.

S-pack was option 48 I think?

Tbh, the vehicle looks like Ford Sno White - an off-white colour.

Paint Code - 9

There's a Mitsubishi colour with paint code CZ -

MITSUBISHI CZ - SOPHIA/SUMMIT WHITE 1987

and also

Ford USA CZ - Desert Sky Blue - 2003
