slydog 7,873 Posted August 13, 2014 Dominator make awesome convertors. Will drive fine but don't expect it to work like a stock unit. 2 nos2 and clevocortina reacted to this
clevocortina 1,109 Posted August 14, 2014 I have a 3000 in my C10 it drives good as, feels a little doughy on light throttle but you'll know about it when you put the foot down
Hofiveo 47 Posted August 14, 2014 Definately not expecting it to drive like a stocker. It came with a recoed c10 i bought. Bloke i got it off thought it was a 2500 but a phone call to dominator with the part number confirmed its 3500. Now I'm thinking I'm going to need a bigger cam. slydog 7,873 Posted August 15, 2014 ??? Yeah so anyway Dominator make custom convertors to suit each combo with no off the shelf units per say.So it will only work in the manner the engine makes it work.So if you have bulk torque it will flash higher and act a tad looser,if it's a big hp engine on now torque the convertor will be tight and not stall as high as expected, but Jase or who ever you spoke to @ Autoflyte would have told you that I'm sure.
