I think (guessing) that they used the LP fuel pump rather than a surge tank/swirl pot.

That's why I suggested the E series pump, then you only have the 1 pump and filter to deal with, which to me would mean less to go wrong.

And the gauge doesn't appear to be too difficult to modify to work, then you could possibly use E series fuel lines as well.

Might be worth looking into...

I'm running Ghia digital dash though.

I've already got the LP pump in and the fuel lines half attached, otherwise I might've considered it.

Fair enough, you know what your doing better than I anyway.

Was just a thought, as it looks like there's a lot of things to go wrong with all those hoses, fittings and pumps.

But the digital gauge throws a spanner in the works anyway...

Okay, so have the fuel system semi working. Lines are all connected at tank end, wiring is connected.

 

Problem I'm having is I don't get fuel pressure when cranking. But if I add a 12V supply to the wire that goes to the fuel pumps I have fuel pressure. So somewhere in the dash or engine bay there is something not working... Any idea where to look?

Problem found... They have an inline glass fuse between relay and battery, turns out mine was missing the fuse.

 

Now to find out what amperage it should be...

Owners manual to the rescue... Inline fuse for fuel pump relay, 10 amp.

 

Think I will go to Supercheap tomorrow and buy a new inline fuse holder so I can use a blade fuse rather than glass one...
