Squid 55 Posted June 17, 2013 After much annoyance, found that my carby is shagged -.-
It runs really rough when you first start it (petrol or gas) and will stall without a bit of throttle.. But is better once its warmed up.
Anyway, I can get a recon carby from sprints for 340 but I was wondering whether it'd be worth putting a Holley 350 or something in it instead?
(Newbie)
Clevo120Y 815 Posted June 18, 2013 Go the 350, much easier to tune in my opinion. Gas will fuck any carby you run, at least a 350 you should be able to put a kit through yourself for about $

Squid 55 Posted June 18, 2013 That sounds sweet!!
How much to put the kit through?
Clevo120Y 815 Posted June 18, 2013 It will depend on the list number, no more than $100. Will have to see what condition the carbs are in before I can say 100%
Squid 55 Posted June 19, 2013 Okay thanks!!
Well lets do that then!

wookie 45 Posted June 19, 2013 yerp, holley 2 barrels and 4 barrels take the same sized filter. the bigger the filter you get the better [14x2 is the minimum id go with]

Clevo120Y 815 Posted June 19, 2013 Is the manifold for alloy head Rev?
revhead 1,392 Posted June 19, 2013 i have no idea ,lol more piccis tomorrow ,sorry guys!lol
Clevo120Y 815 Posted June 19, 2013 That's cool mate, the easiest way to tell is on port number 2 if it has 1 bolt hole on the top and 1 bolt hole on the bottom then it's an alloy head mani, if it has 1 bolt hole at the top and 2 bolt holes at the bottom with a water port between them then it's a cast head mani. 1 revhead reacted to this
Clevo120Y 815 Posted June 19, 2013 Either way I will grab the carbs and if it's an alloy head manifold I may as well grab that as well so I can flow test it and share the results. 1 revhead reacted to this
