    Distilled and Demineralised Water

Ok, first topic for this new section of OzFalcon!... So I've been researching the available options, for when I replace the coolant in my BF wagon. Who else here, mixes their Coolant concentrate, with Demineralised or Distilled Water? There are a few choices in Australia that I can find, but most seem to be nothing more than a brand name, bottled elsewhere. Unfortunately, most options don't display the critical info on the label, being - . Total dissolved Solids in ppm - (Parts per Million) . Conductivity in uS/cm - (micro/siemens per centimeter/meter) . pH level - (potential Hydrogen acid/alkaline level) Strangely, there seems to be no benefit in purchasing larger package quantities. In fact, when comparing dollars per litre, the sweet spot seems to be 5L or 10L containers. Anything above or below that point, and the value decreases. In general, Automotive stores seem to ask alot more for Demineralised/Distilled water, compared with Supermarkets, Hardware Stores or factory direct purchases. Around $1/L, seems to be a fair price point for 5/10L quantities. (up to $3/L in small sizes, and $2/L in larger sizes) So far, I can find the following brands - Penrite Demineralised Water 1/5/10/20L - available at Repco/Bursons (ph of 7.2, no other info) https://www.penriteoil.com.au/products/demineralised-water#/ Klearwave Demineralised Water 5L - Bunnings (nil info... BUT some digging, revealed that Klearwave is a trademarked brand of DIY Resolutions - owned by Wesfarmers) https://www.bunnings.com.au/klearwave-5l-demineralised-water_p4460993 Superior Demineralised Water 5L - Safeway/Woolworths (nil info, distributed by National Propack in QLD, a lab supplies company from what I can gather) https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/9488/superior-water-demineralised Coles home brand Demineralised Water 2L - Coles only (nil info) https://shop.coles.com.au/a/a-vic-metro-richmond-south/product/coles-smart-buy-water-demineralised Refresh Distilled/Demineralised Water - 5L - BigW (has all info, self branded manufacturer/supplier - Refresh plant is located in Keysborough Vic, in business since 1997) https://www.bigw.com.au/product/refresh-demineralised-distilled-water-5l/p/663560/ https://distilledwater.net.au/ Refresh Distilled Demineralised Water - 5/10L - Autobarn (no info on labelling, self branded as above) https://www.autobarn.com.au/refresh-industrial-steam-distilled-water-10l https://distilledwater.net.au/ B.E Products Distilled/Demineralised Water - 1/5/10/20L and beyond (no info on labelling, but is mainly sold direct from the manufacturer - located in Box Hill Vic, in business since 1920's) https://www.beproducts.com.au/our-products.php Diggers Demineralised Water - Blackwoods Industrial Products (no info on labelling, Diggers is a brand of manufacturer Recochem - located in Epping Vic) https://www.blackwoods.com.au/search/industrial-water/brand-diggers/202004219/4294199838
