good info,i suppose most of you have seen on u tube that citric acid ba -bf doing that massive burnout ,it has the number plate toxic,at first you think its a blower because of the noise but later he explains one of the turbo fins is bent and it makes a hell of a sound like a full on blown monster.

cheers i dont realy no a lot about turbo's but they seem all the rage these days,the next xe i buy will more than likley have a crossy in it,so all mounts and brackets are there already,to lower the comp of a normal 4.1 carby xe engine i have read on a thread that by using the later xf unleaded bowl piston would work good,instead of the decomp gasket.

There is a 6boost manifold for ea and xh but not xe or xg are people making there own for the crossy or 4.oL IN a xe or using older mike vine type stuff ?

just trying to size up a combo for the next project,i have seen a few turbo packages for around $3500-4500 for the sohc and barra,are you saying buy a late model barra turbo engine ,the whole thing ?

all you need is a 600 vaccum holley ,re-co $320 works good out of the box or new one $500 what manifold do you have,i assume you have the factory cast iron 2v item ,you will need an adaptor speadbore to squarebore around $70 ,forget old holleys from the wreckers it probly came off a boat.

new correct sender is orderd,should turn up tomorrow,suits the taco s pack dsah,so i will fit it as soon as it comes then hopefully all oil problems will be fixed,then on saturday fit the new radiator.

Hey can the 4.0 litre sump be taken out to put a new gasket on without lifting the motor up,it looks like it can,there is more oil coming out of the engine than the exxon valdez ,first the radiator now the engine ? wtf.

ME TOO but must have had good luck with my 30 odd fords ive owned,never blown a engine gearbox or diff b4.

fark your spot on dean i started it up and shon v torch on it and its pissing down the engine,nowonder the silicon on v sump didnt do anyfin,thankyou ,how do you no all the answers ?

Could be dean I will check later I put a s pack cluster in it but never put the correct sender might look into dat one when I get home

just to slow it down so i can at least go to the shops ,what about that nead-it stuff or something ? i cant get around to fixing it properly for at least a week.

yeah the last 2 days trying to at least slow it down has not worked with red silicon,someone b4 me has done the same thing to it so i'd say its an old wound that has been bandaided.

716 is female and 717 is male i think,i have been through this as well,the problem is these parts places just give it to you because they think ah they all work the same just different numbers,,i sent mine back as well it was for late model mitsubishi,inow have the correct 717,

use a ed wagon or ute diff,28 spline axels,4 pinion,and flange connection,try and get the tailshaft as well,or ute,even late model wagon.

check the wiring connections as i had a similar problem once,im usung the 717 also with a e bay dizzy all went together very easy,contact dsm motorsports at harris park in sydney he makes and sells all that clevo gear.
