Checked the spark and thats all fine and someone suggested that the converter might be bad and and flooding it with gas (which i didnt think was possible ) so i disconnected the primer from the starter motor power so it doesn't prime and after a bit of turning over it started up! Since i have reconnected the primer power wure to the starter and it starts first kick evertime??? Really weird maybe i need to put a kit through the converter. Ill wait and see what happens Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  3. Hey guys just a quick question to throw out there. I have an xf ute on straigh gas ans this morning it wouldn't start, turned over no worries, plenty of gas just wouldnt kick. So i fiqured its the coil or maybe dizzy and left it. Got home from work and it fired up first kick like always. Any thoughts on why?? It rained a lot last night and i figured maybe something got wet? Or is the coil on its way out? Any suggestions? Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  4. It did have a 351 clevo in it, but i brought a XY falcon and thats on club reg, so i decided to put a six back in the ute and make it the daily. Still considering doing some work to this engine or throwing in a newer six, but i want to keep it reasonable on fuel. Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

  11. Yeah im going to do the compression test in the next couple of days and go from there. Yeah it is the ute in the avatar. Had it for ten years and finally just got it on the road after painting it etc lol Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  12. Also greg i dont think there is any gasses coming out at idle, im sure its only under load, but there is a lot of smoke coming out under load Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  13. Yeah i think a compression test is the first thing i need to do, i got the engine out of a ute i didnt know a lot about and then it sat there for 12 months. So i will do that first and if its okay take it forr a decent drive as you say Greg and then look at catch cans And the exhaust hose and oil seperater. Thanks for the info guys ill let you know. Any other ideas throw em out there Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  14. Hey guys, just need some help with a problem im having. I just got my car on the road and it is a 250 crossflow with efi manifold and gas research throttle body. The problem im having is a smoke coming out or the rocker cover breather hose and slight fumes coming out of the dipstick. I have put a new pcv valve in and checked it, but its still happening. I thought maybe the rings are no good, but it blows no smoke out the exhaust at all and the car runs great. Any ideas why smoke is coming out of the breather instead of sucking in clean air?
