thanks .. there is a floor bracket and it mounts behind the ashtray .. ive also put a reinforcement on that because the whole thing was broken through the centre. It feels very strong now .. ive tested installing it and its fine ... Im just in the process of reinstalling the dash, after completely refirbing the heater and vacuum controls .. will post a pic(s) when im done -

theres actually 2 thicknesses of plastic because I wanted it to mount at the same 'level' so i made bits to fill the broken off areas then put now pieces shaped like original in front ... -

Sorry its taken a while to respond, work etc gto in the way of things .. I bought the JB Weld. See the pics of the fix the JB weld smells same as Aryldite .. but im guessing its just a very good quality version of it .. if you are patient and leave the item alone for a few days after clamping its stuck like it was never broken here are some pics .. -

Gday Just looking for some advice. Ive got an xd ute with a pretty tidy interior but i want to repair a crack in the centre console and the mounting points that are snapped off. I also want to repair the usual breaks in the side speaker grilles in the dash. So im looking for what glue will best fix this type of plastic? I will also do a bit of plastic welding to strengthen it Any advice is appreciated. Phil
