  1. Preparations for the Victorian Van titles on the 25th and 26th of November 2023

Unfortunately I had an issue on day1 A bad motivator (alternator) caused me to lose my Sub-light engine and could not attend the Sunday Judging

This video was taken on Friday last week. If only there were night time car shows.

    cheers

    Scott

  8. Hello and Happy New Year etc and All The Best For 2020. Now I have a 2005 Ford RTV Ute with242,000 kms.I've had it for 2 years, done 13000 kms Trouble Free.,Like no broken door handlesand door latch issues except for the rather High Fuel Consumption. It says 18.5 litres/100kms.Its a stock 4.0 Barra.I've also gota 1999 XH Longreach with a 4.0 SOHC that goes quicker and  lt less Thirsty. Does anybody have any clues on what I can do to get better mileage. Is it legal and practical to transplant the SOHC into the RTV?Thanks for your input!

didn't see this post, perhaps ask again in a thread or make a new post.
it's probably just needing O2 sensor or thermostat(running too cold)

getting busier every year.. not getting more productive to offset it either, so it's starting to be a game of prioritise what's needed over what's wanted

  13. Hi gang,

Have a problem with my XC. Engine runs smoothly on level ground or down hill but going up a steep incline it cuts out. Back on level ground it runs fine. Loose wire somewhere, lump of something in the fuel line, relay....I'm baffled. Anyone have any ideas?

    Cheers,

yeah if it has an air flow meter from an XF EFI it could well just be that.. they used to be troublesome(i say used to because most cars with them are extinct now) if you can find someone with one to trial theres, that would be a good thing to do.
there'd be minimal people that would know how to get around it i would bet these days also if so.. other than fitting EFi wiring from EB falcon(non smartlock if so.. even that will be probably getting hard to find soon)

how much fuel is in the tank? what fuel tank and pump are you running?
does it have a swirl pot?

i'd assume its fuel related personally..
