I’ve not put my shifter in yet I’ve been too busy doing other stuff to it I have to have my seat forward coz I’m unable to flex my ankles So we chopped the seat for a little more room when the shifter eventually gets fitted Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Been a longgg time since I’ve been on here! For the most part it’s been a running truck for the past 2 years Still working on it heaps though! I’ve literally done stuff to every bit of the truck with the exception of paint. There’s a pic of it now with my custom/cripple friendly ramp and a pic of a war torn XF on the back! Well aware. Asshole thing and quickest way to kill an AOD if not right

Throttle Valve cable? If it's not set right it won't shift out of first Mines roughly set til I can afford the kit from lokar

No. The steering box is out of ye ol Datsun 260c - only one tab needs to be added to fit it to an f truck The pitman arm is a mutant with Datsun spline on one end and a taper on the other to fit the f truck drag link It's the only way to make pre 80's effies power steering

The AOD Toploader out AOD in - had to get my tailshaft shortened by approx 200mm I can't remember now Shifter in and 'air con' sitting in place Trans cooler squashed in behind the grille Old vs new pitman arm. Old one was a falcon one that'd been resplined and sleeved to fit the 260c steering box and f truck drag link The new (larger) one is what my truck should have had when power steering was fitted It's marginally longer and built specifically for this era of effy downside is, $350 !!! I'm glad I went with the AOD after seeing how it goes as a manual it'll need the extra gear over a regular 3 speed C6 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
