Hi all. Question about the adjustable/memory pedals found in some b series falcons and territories. What is required to add the adjustable pedals into one that didn't have them from the factory. I have played around a bit with my ba rtv and my old man's bf II fairlane ghia. And found that I have the plug in the steering column and that it has the same amount of pins and coloured wires as the plug on the fairlane and that the fairlanes switch fits fine. Does the pedal box need to be changed to make this work or is it simply a recoding of the bumper or something else entirely.

Hi all. Wondering if the passenger front seatbelt from an fg sedan would fit in a ba ute. If not which ones are interchangeable or best to put in my ba

I've just bought a ba rtv and the airbag light shows on the dash. Sometimes a combination of flashes (4 then pause then 9) other times it is solid. Any clue what might be causing this.

Ill have a look tomorrow. That today I found that seat only had 2 plugs while there were three on the loom that went to it.
-
No its missing entirely. I even went to the point of pulling the seat out and taking all the trim off the side and lifting the carpet up. Still found nothing
-
The connector has been broken off the holder on the seat for the other plugs. I think jts got the side airbag but does have the ine in the dash.
-
Sensor is there. With wires that go to nothing. Passenger doesn't have one as no airbag on passenger side
-
I'm thinking so. Looks as though it's missing a plug in the side of the seat (got three on the car side. And I can see where a plug has been broken off the seat. Possibly getting another one tomorrow.

The wiring for the seat track position sensor has been clipped. Any idea where this is supposed to be wired to, got a red wire and a green and pink one

I have glimpsed the wiring but wasn't sure it was airbags since its a 3 seater model. Ill look it over on the morning.

xg ute has been swapped to a 3.9l efi engine from an na fairlane mated to an au 4 speed box. It runs but won't stay running unless revs are kept up and will stall when put in gear. When running on petrol it runs quite rich atm and blows black smoke from exhaust. Will start but not run on LPG. Could this be an ecu issue or something else engirely. Running original xg ecu

Firing order has been checked and rechecked a hundred times. Found a cracked spark plug today. And thinking it's not getting enough fuel cos the gauge don't work properly and both petrol and LPG tanks are near empty
-
It was connected when the engine went in made sure new one went in almost exactly as the old one came out

Map sensor is connected properly. Cant even get the damn thing to start now. Changed the dizzy over from old engine thinking the electrics might be the problem and still nothing. Dizzy is lined up properly but still no go. Any one got any clues

i do remember fiddling with it, ill have a look in the morning.

makes sense that i mightve missed one or two when i hooked it up, just cant find where ive gone over everything i can see. and being efi theres not much in the way of vacuum hoses.

Looking to put a healthier low ks motor into the xg. Can I use any sohc motor with relative ease or is there a lot of difference in wiring and ecu. Likely looking at ef/el but possibly also au. Or would be better with just xg of eb/Ed
-
Does the standard 4 speed auto from an au ute fit well in an xg without having to change much. The xg is 4 speed collumn
-
Yeah ive done a compression check. Havnt really checked any sensors. But there's a lot else wrong with the current one.

is the yoke for the tailshaft anydiffent

ive got a dual fuel xg ute fitted with an 85 litre usable tank. first issue is it wont tart on lpg, it has to be started on petrol then manually switched to lpg. second issue is its dreadful economy, its running about 22l/100km on petrol and closer to 37l/100km on gas. does anyone know what i can do to solve this problem or where abouts in gippsland or melbourne areas i can take it to get a decent tune done.

yeah I feel ya. I’m just about at wits end with mine. Very interesting to have one as a first car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was just looking at a tridon one for 25$ from supercheap. Are they a good enough brand or would a ford genuine piece be a better move Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Makes sense. There wasn’t a thermostat in it when I bought it. I just left it cos I’ve seen scenarios where older cars run better without the thermostat and I assumed that was the case with this particular one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There’s no thermostat. Air filters probably due for replacement having done 20k km. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
