    Panko's Mk1 Escort (Round 2)

Yeah I wouldn't be in a hurry to undo that tank connection either, like you said it's probably brittle and asking for trouble. I'd suck it through the fuel line with an electric pump like Dean mentioned. I've done that with one of my rovers in the past. Pull at least a couple of litres out that way into a clear container of some kind so you can see what condition the fuel is in and if it's picking up any crud along with it.

New Motor for Rods Mad Maxy Ute

300 ml Coke bottle and 2 cable ties, should do the trick.

New Motor for Rods Mad Maxy Ute

Ok, so 465 Holleys are expensive, and hard to find second hand! How about this 470? They even come with vacumn ports these days. That's got to be a handy thing? https://outlawspeed.com.au/shop/ho0-81571 Spent the day cleaning the motor internals and block today. Gave the bores a hone as well. Everything is now so clean you could eat off it! Rear seal should be here Thursday, so I can start putting it all back together when the arrive. Also cleaned all the mounting brackets and sump and gave them all a coat of gloss black. PCV valve popped straight into the rubber grommet on the rear of the alloy cover. Can I just pop a filter breather type thingy onto the hose protrusion just behind the filler cap? Or run a hose from there to a catch can?

    Injector leak testing

Found a safe DIY method, for basic leak testing of Injectors - Connect compressed air, set at normal fuel pump supply pressure (often 40-60 psi) Leave for a few hrs, and results should show.
