i've seen quite a few instances of the ignition switch failing in these 25yr old cars, any chance it's just failed now? @SPArKy_Dave @Thomare good with the wiring of these, might have a fusible link issue for eg, -

Hey guys. I've done the engine n gearbox swap from eb back to ea using 1988 EA engine harness, I've changed it from auto to manual. Using factory manual harness, I don't have spark or a signal from ignition to starter. Fuel pump is working, it's a 4.0 into a 88 ea, it should plug in an run I've fitted new dizzy n coil. Elbow breather hose

Thanks Panko - yes I was looking over heater hoses to find one that would fit but the issue is the connection off the tappet cover for some reason is tapered so that end of the hose is 23mm ID but the flange on the throttle body is 15mm ID. Anyway, I found a fellow on eBay who sells hard to find parts and he had a new one so I grabbed it. As you know if this part fails your engine stops! -

1 pointGave em a good clean, cut & polish. They aren't perfect but maybe tomorrow I'll paint strip them then polish again & see what happens but they are definitely better than what they were when i got them earlier. Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk

1 pointDunno yet Dean, wheels still havent arrived yet haha hopefully this week. Im gonna go out on a limb & say yes they do. They have these thin alloy discs with ford logo glued on em from factory so im gonna take them off cos the LTD dont roll like that then prepwash em clean em up & polish them. I tried uploading a pic on tapatalk before but it just wouldnt upload.
